Second Floor

Progress has been quite rapid over the past couple of days. I have completed an initial second floor, although I expect I will change it later.

I have left a lot of open space here as I want to experiment with a few ideas of how it could be used.

First Floor

For the last week or so I have been working on the First floor of my build. It has been quite hard to align the walls and other objects accurately in relation to the ground floor but I am learning quite fast.

These are outside views of the construction as seen from under the lake!

Views of the staircases.

Looking down onto the first floor.

Maintaining the look and feel of the building I cloned the staircases to other floors.

Continuing with work on the main entrance interior.

Adding the ceiling textures.

Early stages of my Second Life resource centre build

Below are shop snapshots of my build on Cornwall College Island (Second Life). They show the stage that I am currently at on the construction of the ground floor. I have tried my best to stick to an Art Deco theme, as this is one of the subjects covered in the modules that I am hoping to invigorate with the use of Second Life.

Image shows the detail of the rails of the staircase, these are down using opacity maps.

The main bay window that will possibly be the area for student display of artwork.

Image demonstrating how the building is created from basic 3d primatives.

The resource building is currently under the lake as this is the only space free at the moment for such a large building on the collge Island. The sandbox area is in the sky!

There is still much to do to complete the construction of the resource centre.
